Islamabad - Pakistan's minister of religion was wounded in an armed attack on his car, police said today.
Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi was attacked near his office, in Islamabad, and his driver was killed.
Hamid Kazmi was wounded in the leg and was transferred to hospital in Islamabad, and his condition is stable, tell the doctors.
For now, no one took responsibility for the attack.
Pakistan Prime Minister Sayed Yousuf Raza Gilani has ordered an investigation into the attempted murder of minister of religion, told the Pakistani media.
Until the attack on him came despite increased security measures after the assassination of leaders of the Taliban in early August. As Hamid Kazmi openly criticized the Taliban, feared the revenge.
