United States for multilateral solutions

Seoul - The United States announced that the nuclear disarmament of North Korea needs multilateral solution and rejected the proposal of a bilateral dialogue with Pyongyang.

It is the capital of South Korea, Seoul, said the special U.S. envoy for North Korea Stephen Bosworth. He met yesterday with senior South Korean officials on how to persuade Pyongyang to return to the negotiating table on nuclear disarmament.
North Korea withdrew from the negotiations on disarmament šestočlanih (North Korea, South Korea, Japan, China, USA and Russia) in April in protest against the international criticism that is launched rocket, which world powers believe that the test represented a hidden far-range missiles that can carry nuclear warheads.

Since then, North Korea proposed bilateral talks with Washington, but Bosworth rejected this proposal.

"Because of the nature of this issue, its regional and international implilkacija this is a problem that requires a multilateral solution," said Bosworth at the end of the visit Seoul.

"As we previously stated, we are willing to have bilateral contacts with North Korea, but only in the context šestočlanog process with the aim of improving the process," said U.S. envoy who now goes to Tokyo, the last phase of a regional tour.

Bosworth said he agreed with South Korean officials that it is now important to ensure complete nuclear disarmament of the Korean Peninsula, subject to check.

North Korea's government, after years of denying that it has a secret uranium enrichment program, on Friday announced that it has reached the final stage of the process.

This is acknowledged that there are other options for making nuclear weapons in addition to our previous program based on plutonium.

This publication is considered a new challenge in the United States and the UN.

The United Nations imposed new sanctions on North Korea in June because, in violation of Security Council resolutions, conducted another nuclear test and, then, a series of missile test.
