Life imprisonment for rape and murder of Iraqi girl

Kentucky District Court handed down the sentence life imprisonment without possibility of pardon, a former member of the U.S. Army Stephen D. Green (24) for the rape and murder of Iraqi girl and killing members of her family in March 2006.

After a trial for murder, rape and obstruction of the investigation, Green was convicted in April on all 17 counts. He was tried as a civilian because due to "personality disorder" otpušen from the army before the crime was discovered.

Given that the jurors could not agree on the sentence, Greene's "near miss" avoid the death penalty, and he was a judge Thomas Russell sentenced life in prison.

Relatives of the slain family attended the trial and said that Green "cowards that will pursue its work."
