The explosion at the market - 42 dead

At least 42 people were killed and more than 100 of them wounded in a bomb explosion that occurred today in a crowded market in Peshawar, in northwest Pakistan, Pakistani authorities were notified.

"At least 42 people were killed while more than 100 wounded, told reporters the head of the regional Ministry of Health Zahir Ali Shan.

Police said that "the bomb was hidden in a minibus on the market" and that "at the time of the explosion in the minibus apparently were passengers.

The investigation has since been determined that it was a suicide attack.

It is the second bomb attack in the last three days, which was conducted in Pakistan.

Taliban fighters in the country staged a bomb attack on Tuesday in the building of the World Food Program UN in Islamabad, which killed five people.

In the last two years, the attacks of extremists in Pakistan killed more than 2100 people.
