The earthquake destroyed 200,000 houses

The powerful earthquake that struck Indonesia last week ostvro Sumatra damaged between 170,000 and 200,000 homes, the data of the Red Cross in Indonesia.

According to latest official data, the earthquake killed 704 people and 295 of them are missing, but fears that the final balance of the accident will be higher.

"We estimate that between 170,000 and 200,000 homes damaged, of which the 90,000 houses caused serious material damage," said Bob Mekerou from the Red Cross in Indonesia.
