Democrats won liberals

Elections - The unofficial results of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) won the parliamentary elections in that country, 308 of a total of 480 seats in parliament. Until now, the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) won 119 seats, which is a major defeat for Prime Minister Tara Asa because the LDP in the last session of Parliament had 300 members.
The formation of the government need to let the party or coalition wins 241 mandate, with more than 300 seats and a few seats of one of the smaller parties DPJ will have a two-thirds majority.
Prime Minister Taro Aso yesterday admitted more results parlamentarnh election as the party's first defeat after 54 years in power.
The loss opens the way liberal Democrats Hatojami Yuki, the leader of the opposition, the prime minister to replace Tara Asa and form a new government, which is expected in the next few weeks.
