New talks Putin and Timoshenko on gas transit

MOSCOW - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will soon visit Ukraine for talks with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko the country on key economic issues, including the transit of natural gas, said press secretary of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Peskov radio station "Echo of Moscow".

Speaking about the recent decisions in the Russian-Ukrainian relations, including Russia's decision not to impose penalties to Ukraine due to less consumption of gas from Russia agreed, Peskov said that the "economic assistance to neighboring Ukraine in the current difficult time and a gesture of good will," he said Itar-Tass.
