In Indonesia for adultery soon whipping or death penalty

Infidelity to be more stringent punish, public whipping or even death, in indonežanskoj province of Aceh, where local authorities are planning to introduce strict Islamic law.

Local Parliament should next week to consider a draft law related to the fight against alcohol, gambling, adultery and rape.


"Common-law persons who are responsible for adultery, which will get whip in public, while married persons responsible for committing adultery threaten the death penalty and stoning," said local official Raihan Iskandar.
Aceh is located on the northern Indonesian island of Sumatra. On this island live mostly Muslims.
